Chillicothe man held on $1 million bond amid new charges
CHILLICOTHE, OHIO – Jason Lytle, a Chillicothe man indicted in July of last year, is now being held in jail on a $1 million bond. Lytle was charged with attempted murder last summer after he allegedly used his vehicle to pin a man against the exterior wall of a local business. The incident led to his initial arrest and subsequent indictment.
Ross County – One Arrested in Early Morning Chase Through City
Ross County – A man with a criminal history was arrested this morning after taking law enforcement on a chase through half the county. According to early reports, an attempt to stop occurred around 2 am off Bridge Street in Chillicothe, but after law enforcement turned on their lights the suspect took off. The chase went southbound on Bridge Street before the suspect entered US-35 westbound where speeds of up to 80 mph were clocked. Several units attempted to get into position to spike strip the vehicle. Eventually, the suspect took law enforcement southbound on US-23. The suspect then turned into Maple Lane in Massieville and onto Lakeview Drive where he found himself at a dead end.

On Tuesday evening, emergency services and 911 operators came to the aid of a stranded mushroom hunter who found himself lost in the dense woods as darkness descended.
Deputies Arrest Underage Driver Found Passed out in Road on Moonshine in Ross County
Ross County – On April 14, 2024, Deputies Dutcher and Tatman responded to a concerning call on US 50 in Londonderry, reporting a male found unconscious behind the wheel of a vehicle. Upon arrival, they discovered a running 2002 Chevy pickup truck, with a man identified as Alden Bartley slumped in the driver’s seat. Bartley exhibited signs of impairment, including glossy eyes and confusion about his whereabouts.
Suspect captured in armed robbery of Amish teen
JACKSON — The suspect in the reported robbery of a Jackson County Amish teen has been captured. The suspect was apprehended in Pike County late Friday night. A tip from a citizen, led Jackson County Sheriff Tedd E. Frazier’s deputies to the Beaver area in Pike County. Working with the assistance of the Pike County Sheriff’s Office, Jackson County Deputies were able to take the suspect, now identified as 30-year-old Jason Daniel Holloway of Beaver, into custody. The suspect truck was also located during the investigation in West Portsmouth. Halloway is accused of stopping a 16-year-old Amish teen on Cove Road at gunpoint on Thursday, April 11, as the teen was traveling with his horse and cart. Holloway then demanded the teen hand over his wallet and fled.
