Popular Acapella group performing Thursday night in Wausau
WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) - Thursday night at the Grand Theater, you can experience 90s music with a twist, as acapella group, Straight No Chaser takes the stage. Thursday night at The Grand, the group is bringing us The Summer: The 90s Tour. The face of acapella groups has changed quite a bit in the last few years, thanks to movies like Pitch Perfect, and Thursday you can expect that same type of energy when Straight No Chaser begins. The group originally started as a student group from Indiana University in the mid 90′s. Today, it’s nine former students. They are still performing music and breaking the fourth wall together. Bandmember Jerome Collins says there will be all things 90s from television show theme songs, like Perfect Strangers, Saved by the Bell, and Golden Girls. They will also honor some of the best pop groups and singers from the decade.

New exhibit open now at Wausau Museum of Contemporary Art
WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) - A new exhibit is open at the Wausau Museum of Contemporary Art. The award-winning exhibition is called The String Project: We Are All Connected. It features true-to-life photos from over 30 countries and across five continents. The global project produced about 50 photos and filled three galleries. Every photo has one unifying factor: a string.
Kronenwetter to host Movie Under the Stars this week
KRONENWETTER – Get your fill of farm animals at the village of Kronenwetter’s free outdoor movie event July 26 in Buska Park, 2390 Terrebonne Drive. Before “Charlotte’s Web” hits the outdoor screen, get up close and personal with the animals from Kraft’s Kuddly Kritters petting zoo. The petting zoo will be open from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) - Gardners and garden lovers, this is your weekend!. The Wausau Garden Walk is hosted by the Northcentral Wisconsin Master Gardeners. There will be six featured gardens. Money raised supports scholarships for students who major in horticulture or a related field. Organizers say each garden is unique.
Fuzzy’s Taco Shop celebrates National Tequila Day with special margarita
WESTON, Wis. (WSAW) - Fuzzy’s Taco Shop is celebrating National Tequila Day on Wednesday with a “fan-favorite” Beerita. The 18 oz House Margarita is available frozen or on the rocks and topped with your choice of dunked beer. A Fuzzy’s spokesperson says the drink is a fun and playful twist on the classic margarita and is sure to be a hit.
Award-winning Photography Exhibition, THE STRING PROJECT®: We Are All Connected, Opens in Wausau on July 25th
WAUSAU, WI – In preparation for Welcoming Week in September, the Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin and WAUSOME have recruited THE STRING PROJECT® to exhibit 49 photographs at the Wausau Museum of Contemporary Art. This free exhibition, presented by Rocket Industrial, will open at 11am on Thursday, July 25th at the Wausau Museum of Contemporary Art, 309 McClellan Street, and will run through October 12, 2024.

Tired of trying to get grass to grow in our front lawn, we put up $2,100 and hired a landscaper to till and remove the old soil, shovel in new dirt, and hydroseed the area. As a result, we now have a lush emerald carpet from porch to sidewalk, lot line to lot line.

A professional singer/performer from South Padre Island, Tex., Blasing has been entertaining for more than 30 years with her wide vocal range, performing music from many genres. She engages her audience with jokes, stories, dancing, and music. Named “Best Entertainer” in Texas multiple times, she has opened for several renowned country stars.
