Somerville Jail Takes on Reduced Role; Somerset County Signs 5-Year Deal to Send Inmates to Morris County Jail
SOMERVILLE, NJ – The Somerset County Board of County Commissioners has agreed to a five-year contract with Morris County to provide housing for Somerset County’s longer-term detainees. The agreement is the product of a year of study by County officials to address the reduced jail population. Pair arraigned on heavy fentanyl charges in Staten Island takedown
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Two men accused of dealing fentanyl on Staten Island were arraigned last week on heavy charges in state Supreme Court, St. George. Carlos Sepulveda, 30, of the 600 block of Port Richmond Avenue in Port Richmond, and Alexander Ramos, 58, of Townsend Avenue in the Bronx, had been indicted by a grand jury on charges of first-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
