    Blue Mountain Humane Society Surpasses Fundraising Goal for Dog Jog Event

    WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- The Blue Mountain Humane Society has already reached its fundraising goal for the upcoming Dog Jog event.

    This year BMHS set a goal for $30,000 and has already hit nearly $36,000 with three more days to go until the dog jog event.

    The Dog Jog Fundraising event is Sunday, May 19 at the Walla Walla Community College Athletic Field Parking Lot.

    On-site registration is available starting at 8:30 a.m. The fee to register is $25 and the jog officially starts at 9:00 a.m.

    The annual Dog Jog event is a 5K run along Mill Creek Trail with more activities after the jog.

    Some activities include meeting adoptable dogs and learning better dog training.

    The Dog Jog is family friendly for even the furriest of family members. Various vendors from dog trainers to bakeries will also be at the event.
