Storm Tracker Forecast - Thunderstorms This Evening, And Not Quite As Active On Friday
It's an active weather day for northern California with showers and thunderstorms over the Sierra and eastward, and the valley will have a chance of unsettled weather this evening. Friday will be a little quieter than Thursday. Some of the showers and thunderstorms will deliver heavy rain to areas of Modoc, Lassen and Plumas counties, and a Flood Watch is in effect through late this evening due to excessive rain. Showers and thunderstorms are also possible this evening in the valley, but they'll be gone before midnight. Lows will be in the 40s and 50s. Friday will be mostly sunny and warm in the valley with isolated showers and thunderstorms in the mountains. Highs will remain in the seasonable mountain 60s and valley 80s.
AT&T outage causes multiple 911 system's to be offline in the Northstate, Saturday morning
CHICO, Calif. — UPDATE, 12:10 PM:. The Gridley Police Department says they are also dealing with an outage to their 911 systems. The department says the outage may be exclusively affecting Verizon customers, but note their technicians are actively working to resolve the issue. They can still be reached through their emergency line at 530-846-5670.

Sheriff’s Office Conducts Successful Operation, Arrests Felon in Possession of Illegal Firearms
In a high-risk operation conducted May 18th, detectives from the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office, supported by the agency’s Special Weapons and Tactics team, executed a search warrant at a residence in Herlong, resulting in the arrest of Brian Keith Johnson Jr., a 41-year-old convicted felon from Sacramento.
