OPELOUSAS, La. (KADN) — Two men face life in prison after a historic murder conviction in the St. Landry Parish Courthouse. District Attorney Chad Pitre said Marcus Chenier, 27, of Opelousas, known as a YouTube rapper, and Jevon Figaro, 26, of Lafayette, were both convicted of second-degree murder on Tuesday, April 23, for shooting and killing Kelly Guidry.

LECOMPTE, La. (KALB) - The Lecompte Police Department reported on April 21, of a shooting at the 1700 block of Holly Street on April 19. According to LPD, officers arrived at the scene and discovered that a juvenile had been shot. They stated that the victim was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.
