    Food Bank offering a new program to those 60 and over

    Food Bank Senior Program

    VICTORIA, Texas - The Food Bank the Golden Crescent continues to look for ways to help those that may have a difficult time receiving regular meals.

    Seniors are particularly at risk for food insecurity. That's why the food bank has developed at program to give seniors 60 and over the ability to receive a food box each month. Frances Santellana with the food bank says this program will help those in need, and it's as convenient as possible.

    It will be a drive through operation. The will form a line, stay in their vehicles, then we are going to disperse the food into their vehicles,it'll be a mobile drive through," said Santellana.

    This distribution will take place at the old food bank location at 3809 East Rio Grande in Victoria. If you per-registered in April, your distribution date will be May 14th. you can per-register for June on may 24th. Pre registration must be done in person at the food bank location on Laurent.
