Guardian Belles plan barbecue to support Mercy House

ENDICOTT, NY (WIVT/WBGH) – A group of female motorcycle enthusiasts is also doing their part to support the Mercy House through a chicken barbecue this weekend.

The Guardian Belles Law Enforcement Riding Club Borderline Chapter is hosting the sale this Saturday in Vestal.

The Guardian Belles is a support group for the Punishers Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club made up mostly of police, military, first responders and like-minded individuals.

The Borderline Chapter was established in 2015.

Kate Klein has been a member since the beginning and says the club is focused on bettering themselves and enriching others while paying it forward.

“We’re always looking for ways to help out our community. We lift each other up. I think it’s great if women can lift each other up and build each other up and not tear each other down and have faith in what we do for our community,” she says.

Saturday’s chicken barbecue is being prepared by Jimmy Joe’s. It takes place at Tractor Supply at 154 Vestal Parkway West from 11 to 2. Dinners with sides and a drink are 15 dollars. Chicken only is 10. Tickets can be purchased by emailing Belles of Borderline at gmail dot com.

Walk-ups will be accommodated unless they run out of chicken.
