San Angelo Lake View baseball has a new head coach
SAN ANGELO, Texas — The Lake View High School Chiefs have a new baseball coach. The San Angelo Independent School District announced Tony Cortez, an 18-year coaching veteran, has taken the helm of the baseball team. He was most recently the Chiefs' football offensive coordinator and assistant powerlifting coach.

As of 10:20 a.m., Emily Scott of Veribest has won her matchup in the Quarterfinals against Anna Hagler of Martinsville. Scott will play again in the Semifinal against Daylee Chisum of Jayton at 2:00 p.m. Also advancing to the Semifinals is Mason’s Mason Hatfield over Reagan County’s Leevi Knight.
