Tailwind Group Acquires 864-Bed Property Near Texas Tech University
Lubbock, Texas — Tailwind Group has acquired The Holly, an 864-bed student housing property located near the Texas Tech University campus in Lubbock. The property offers 288 fully furnished units in two-, three- and four-bedroom configurations with bed-to-bath parity. Shared amenities include two resort-style pools; a 24-hour fitness center; co-working lounge with private rooms; library; walking trail around a private lake; and sand volleyball, pickleball and basketball courts. The new ownership plans to begin a comprehensive renovation program in December, which will include modernizations to community spaces, exterior enhancements and the introduction of smart technology throughout. The seller and terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
