Quakertown man headed to state prison for up to 47 years for rape of two teenage girls in 2010
A 60-year-old rapist of two young teenage girls 14 years ago is headed to state prison for up to 47 years, following a sentencing Tuesday in Bucks County Common Pleas court. Matias J. Martinez Morales, formerly of Quakertown, was convicted by a Bucks County jury in January on a felony charge each of rape by force, rape of a child, indecent assault by forcible consumption, and terroristic threats, according to the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office. Testimony took three days before the verdict was handed down by the jury.

Shooting at Buckingham Wawa Ruled Suicide by Coroner’s Office
BUCKINGHAM TOWNSHIP, PA—The Bucks County Coroner’s Office today confirmed that a man who died at the Wawa on Easton Road North of Route 313 on Tuesday morning killed himself in the store’s parking lot. The office identified the victim as a 51-year-old man who fatally shot himself while sitting in a car outside of the store. The coroner’s office was called to the scene at about 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday, May 28. Officials from that office worked with detectives from Buckingham to secure the scene and investigate the death.
