Atlantic, LC, Harlan, Plattsmouth alums honored on All-ARC softball teams
(KMAland) -- Four former KMAlanders have been honored as All-American Rivers Conference softball players. Atlantic alum Olivia Engler (Luther) and former Lewis Central star Haley Bach (Central) were named to the first team. Harlan grad Morgan Schaben (Central) is a second team honoree, and Plattsmouth alum Paige Druskis (Buena Vista) was named an honorable mention.

Shenandoah schools consider unifying girls, boys sports under Mustangs nickname
(Shenandoah) -- Shenandoah school officials are exploring unifying their boys and girls sports teams under one mascot. During its regular meeting this week, the Shenandoah School Board heard a presentation from Activities Director Jon Weinrich regarding the potential change. Ever since girls' sports were introduced in the school district in the 1970s, Weinrich says they have used the Fillies nickname. Now, Weinrich tells KMA News the school district's leadership team is considering combining the school's boys' and girls' sports teams under the nickname of Mustangs.

(KMAland) -- Two Plattsmouth, two Nebraska City and one Platte Valley baseball player have been named Trailblazer First Team All-Conference.
