Harlan Girls Golf Captured Dual Victory Over Clarinda on Thursday
(Harlan, IA) – At the Harlan Country Club on Thursday, the Harlan girl’s golf team was able to capture a win beating Clarinda 209-226. Harlan was able to feature the medalist, Kara Kenkel, who shot 46 on the evening while the runner-up, Gianna Rock of Clarinda, shot just one over at 47. Harlan also featured Macy Mueller who shot one over Rock with a 48 on the evening. The Cyclones have continued to shoot lower and lower after every dual and meet, as they shot 211 against Kuemper Catholic and 206 against Shenandoah while shooting 243 just a few duals before against Lewis Central. (Harlan, IA) – The Harlan girl’s track and field team had a tough week last week with back-to-back meets at Lewis Central and Council Bluffs Lincoln, coming in fourth in both meets. Harlan was both physically and mentally tough last week with the girls giving it their all even in not ideal conditions. Woodbine Girl’s Win Team Title at Home Track Meet: Riverside Second; Atlantic; Fourth
(Woodbine) Woodbine High School achieved an impressive victory at the Woodbine Girl’s Invitational Track Meet on Thursday, winning four events and scoring 140 points to defend their home track. Riverside finished in second place with 121.50 points, while Treynor came in third with 119, Atlantic took fourth place with 106.50, and Boyer Valley rounded out the top five with 58 points. Missouri Valley and Ar-We-Va finished in sixth and seventh place respectively, with 25 and 15 points.
Atlantic RAGBRAI Vendor Forms Now Available
Kelsi Beschorner, Atlantic RAGBRAI Publicity Chair, says the housing forms are now being accepted for RAGBRAI 2024. She says all forms can be found at www.atlanticragbrai.com or the Atlantic Area Chamber of Commerce at 102 Chestnut Street. Vending fees for local non-profit vendors are $150. Fees for local and for-profit vendors are $350. For any non-local vendor wishing to participate in Atlantic RAGBRAI, the fee will be $600. There is a $100 refundable clean-up deposit and a $50 electrical fee for vendors that need electricity.
