    Raleigh County woman arrested after firing shots, threatening to kill surveying crew

    RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Raleigh County woman has been arrested after shooting a round out of her revolver and threatening to kill a surveying crew.

    According to a criminal complaint, on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, 55-year-old Marlene Cochran of Surveyor, approached three individuals who were part of a surveying crew.

    The crew was surveying a piece of property that abuts Cochran’s property.

    The complaint alleges that Cochran yelled obscenities toward the crew and threatened to kill them by shooting them.

    The crew then drove their side by side away from Cochran for their safety.

    Cochran then came out of her residence a second time and continued to yell more threats and obscenities at the crew, this time armed with a .38 revolver.

    Cochran then discharged a round from the revolver and returned to her residence.

    She was arrested and charged with wanton endangerment. Cochran is currently out on bond.
