Police discover man sleeping on private property is wanted on warrants

MILTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man was confronted by police after he was observed sleeping on private property.

According to the Milton Police Department (MPD), while on patrol Sgt. Tom Withers observed a man sleeping in the doorway of the old Heck Funeral Home on Smith Street in Milton.

Upon checking, the man was identified as Chance Menking who was wanted out of Wood County for Grand Larceny and Larceny.

Menking was arrested and taken to Western Regional Jail pending arraignment.
