Woman arrested after pulling gun on family member, shooting through front door with small child present

CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One woman has been arrested after pulling a gun on a family member and then shooting through the front door.

According to a criminal complaint, on Thursday, June 6, 2024, 27-year-old Kearah Walker went to the victim’s residence in Charleston and started an argument regarding family drama.

The victim and Walker are related.

Walker then proceeded to bang on the victim’s door and when the victim opened the front door, Walker pointed a gun at the male victim.

The door was then closed and at this point, Walker fired a round through the front door at an angle into the door frame of the house which connects to the living room.

The shot also busted out the front window.

At the time the shot was being fired, three people were on the other side of the wall including a small child that could’ve possibly been struck by the round, according to the complaint.

Walker was arrested and charged with wanton endangerment involving a firearm.

She is currently at South Central Regional Jail on a $100,000 cash-only bond.
