‘The Empress’: Historic Steam Locomotive stops in Minot
"This is also a really historic occasion. This is the first time in history that a steam powered passenger train has made a trip covering Canada, the United states, and Mexico in one go around," said the Senior Manager Heritage Services and Operations and Corporate Historian for CPKC, Adam Meeks. Railroad union pickets for agreeable paid sick leave
MINOT, N.D. (KMOT) – Railroad union representatives from multiple divisions showed up on Minot’s Main Street to rally for a better-paid sick leave policy from CPKC. George Loveland is the general chair of the Burlington System Division, which covers 10 different railroads across 13 different states in the Midwest. Loveland said the union is asking for four days of paid sick leave annually.
