Progress under way for traffic along VFW Road

Jason Britsch, of Texas Department of Transportation, provided an updated report regarding FM 2590 (VFW Road) that starting Wednesday, crews were expected to start overlaying operations on FM 2590. Work will begin at the U.S. 60 intersection in Canyon and gradually progress north to State Loop 335 in Amarillo. Drivers can expect periodic lane closures and should be prepared to follow a pilot car through the work zone. Delays are possible and drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time, slow down and stay alert for workers and equipment. "We appreciate the public's patience as crews work to improve the safety of the roadway and provide a quality product," Britsch said. "Please drive with caution and reduce speed through all work zones. All projects are subject to change due to weather, emergency work and other unexpected events." Initial traffic light phase at Lair Road TXDOT crews recently completed the initial traffic light phase at the FM 2219 (Lair Road) and FM 2590 (VFW intersection). Signal lights were also installed at the Hunsley Road intersection earlier this year. We need public transportation or Uber/Lyft/Taxi system. Plains Regional Medical Center ER literally called police and asked them to remove sick, disabled, physically handicapped person from hospital grounds in the middle of the night because they couldn't get a ride home at 3am AFTER ER staff acknowledged no transportation systems are available until 8am (CART) and said they could wait in the lobby until I could find a ride or CART disabled transportation opened at 8am. Doctors also wrote libel statements in medical record - specifically saying there's a note in my chart telling staff to not listen or believe me. Presbyterian sent me a letter saying they contracted with FEDKO Group and tried to lie about their liability. Clovis ER also using KNOWN FAULTY EQUIPMENT like leads with protective sheath missing with bare wire exposed. I'm filing complaints with Joint Commission, Medicare, etc. IT'S A CRIMINAL OFFENSE TO KNOWINGLY USE FAULTY EQUIPMENT IN HOSPITAL.

They might want to monitor drivers. Transit service in Clovis NM is dangerous. Disabled and needing things like neck surgery because disc compressing spine. Driver picked me up and immediately pulled into oncoming traffic. Came complete stop in road in front of oncoming traffic then hit reverse after traffic stopped. Speeding, taking turns like we were on a race track, riding very close to car in front with obvious brake lights ahead, only to slam on brakes at last minute, etc... all this with low tire warning light on the entire time. I thought he was going to snap neck.
