Longtime local restaurant owners have opened a new authentic Mexican restaurant, Mendoza's Mexican Grill, off Columbia Road in Grovetown. Erica Mendoza and her husband Gustavo opened their latest venture on Friday at 508 Oxbow Drive, across from Bartram Trail neighborhood and golf club. He said he came on Friday, and on Monday brought a friend, Chris Williams, for lunch. "He suggested going to lunch and said, 'Let's go here," Pizarro said. Both men were singing praises for the authentic Mexican food and plan to return. Erica Mendoza said she and her husband had been planning to open a restaurant in Grovetown for several years. They planned to build a home in Grovetown and wanted to open another restaurant there. They also own El Kiosco restaurant on Washington Road in Thomson.
