Danny's Fabric & Yarn
From JoAnn to Danny: A Fabric Lover's Journey to Fill Glasgow's Crafting Gap
When the JoAnn Fabrics store in Glasgow closed its doors, it left a void larger than its aisles of thread and fabric. For Danny Woosley, who was working there, the closure wasn't just the end of a job—it was the beginning of a calling. "Customers kept asking, 'What are we going to do for fabric and yarn?'" Danny recalls. This persistent question echoed in his mind and planted the seed for what would soon become Danny's Fabric & Yarn. Together with his wife and daughter, Danny took the leap from employee to entrepreneur. They recognized a need in the community—a need that he was uniquely equipped to fulfill. With the support of a local business mentor, Danny transformed this community need into a reality, opening Danny's Fabric & Yarn on August 29, 2025. The shop quickly became a hub for Glasgow's crafting enthusiasts, offering not just supplies but a sense of continuity and connection. Situated between Ruler Foods and Bealls on N L Rogers Wells Blvd, Danny's Fabric & Yarn offers more than just the basics. It boasts one of the largest selections of 108-inch quilting backings in the area and the most extensive collection of DMC floss around. Danny's commitment to keeping prices fair means that customers don't have to wait for a sale to get a good deal. They can find quality products at reasonable prices whenever they visit.
