18-year-old pronounced deceased after fatal accident at Skaggs Creek
GLASGOW – According to a press release from the Barren County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 8:00pm Sunday night, the BCSO along with other emergency agencies responded to the Skaggs Creek bridge on Matthews Mill Road in reference to a vehicle that traveled off the roadway and into the water.
Arrest made in murder of Kentucky student found in dorm room
Police in Kentucky say that a suspect has been arrested in connection to the death of a student who was found dead in his dorm room over the weekend at Campbellsville University. The victim, 18-year-old Josiah Kilman, was discovered unresponsive in his dorm room around 1 a.m. local time Saturday morning. According to a press release from the university, Kilman was transported to Taylor Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Kilman’s cause of death has not been determined, and his body was transferred to the Kentucky Office of the Medical Examiner in Louisville for an autopsy.
Glasgow Boys and Girls Club opens its doors at new location
The Boys and Girls Club of Glasgow began a new chapter today at the organization’s new location off of Columbia Ave. The three story building will house students from both Barren County and Glasgow School districts and provides the organization with much needed to space to accommodate children involved.
Adair County Man Arrested on Drug & Other Charges
An Adair County Man was arrested Sunday, February 25, 2024 by KSP on Drug, Wanton Endangerment and Tampering Charges. Joel Yarberry, 39, of Columbia, KY was arrested Sunday night for Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Drug Unspecified), Tampering with Physical Evidence, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree and Public Intoxication of a Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol). He was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail.
TPD makes 2 Drug Arrests
The Tompkinsville Police Department made two drug arrests this weekend. Diego Morales of Tompkinsville was served a search warrant at Carter Court Apartments on Friday. K9 Officer Ty Hammer and Officer Tayde Capshaw’s search led to the discovery of 9.5 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 8 M30 Fentanyl pills, and 2 glass pipes. Morales was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Fentanyl, and Possesion of Drug Paraphernalia.

Two Arrested After Major Drug Investigation
Two men have been arrested after officials seized cocaine, handguns and $37,000 during an investigation on Thursday and Friday. On February 22 and 23, the Bardstown Police Department’s Narcotics Unit, alongside Kentucky State Police and Homeland Security, carried out search warrants in Lebanon, Danville and Campbellsville after a months-long investigation, according to a release.
