Four Injured In Cadiz Road Crash
A wreck on Cadiz Road at Petsch Lane sent four people to the hospital Thursday afternoon. Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say a truck driven by David Morris of Greenville was crossing Cadiz Road to get onto Petsch Lane and pulled into the path of an eastbound SUV driven by Norma Sutton of Hopkinsville.
HPD charges woman with second-degree assault
A Hopkinsville woman has been charged with second-degree assault after she allegedly stabbed a man with a screwdriver. According to the Hopkinsville Police Department report, the incident occurred around 10:15 p.m. Tuesday when 21-year-old Zara Matlock of Hopkinsville stabbed the male victim in the stomach with a torx screwdriver, causing a laceration to his stomach.

Man Charged With Trafficking Drugs In Hopkinsville
A traffic stop on North Main Street in Hopkinsville for not having tail lights led to drug charges for an Elizabethtown man Tuesday night. Hopkinsville Police say they stopped 23-year-old Tina Morris of Livermore for her tail lights being out and found her to not have a driver’s license or insurance.

Bond modified for second-degree manslaughter suspect
A man charged with second-degree manslaughter had his bond modified in Christian Circuit Court Wednesday afternoon. Daequon Forte appeared before Judge Andrew Self and his attorney argued for bond modification, saying his client is not a flight risk and would reside with his mother—Commonwealth’s Attorney Stephanie Bolen had no objection, but did say they would want Forte to undergo routine drug testing while out on bond.
Road work planned for several Hopkinsville roadways
Several Hopkinsville roadways will have milling and paving work underway on them Thursday. According to a news release from the City of Hopkinsville, milling and paving work will take place on Par Place, Fairway Court, a portion of Jerry Claiborne Way and Simpson Lane. Residents and business owners who park on the street are asked to move their vehicles to make room for heavy equipment.

Busy June In Store For Hopkinsville Parks & Recreation
June is going to be a busy month for Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation. Summer Adventure Day Camp begins now, and will run through the end of July. Organized for children aged 6-to-12, most of the spots are full for the eight-week schedule. Though, some will open up occasionally, following cancellations. Currently, the four-day holiday week of July 3-7 still has several spots still available. Registration forms can be picked up at the office.

Two Clarksville men and an Oak Grove woman were charged with trafficking drugs after a bounty hunter noticed a wanted man entering a home in Oak Grove Wednesday morning. Oak Grove Police say 34-year-old D Nicholas Merriweather was seen by Tennessee bounty hunters entering a home on Hunter Owens Court.

A man was flown to the hospital after a UTV crash on Mason Mill Road in Herndon Wednesday morning. Christian County emergency personnel say just before 10 am a 52-year-old man was injured in a UTV crash in a field causing him to not be able to feel his arms and legs.
The 400 Mile Yard Sale gets underway, continues through the weekend
The 400 Mile Yard Sale is officially underway all along U.S. 68 and those looking for bargains and treasures will be out through most of the weekend. The annual sale stretches the length of U.S. 68 across the state and there will be more booths than you can count set up from one end of the state to the other, including locally. One such sale is in the Daysville area of Todd County, where Teddy Hutchison says they’d already seen a good amount of people taking advantage of the beautiful weather Thursday morning, where they have plenty of items up for sale.

Kirkpatrick Street Home Damaged In Wednesday Fire
A home on Kirkpatrick Street in Hopkinsville was fire damaged in a fire Wednesday afternoon. Hopkinsville Fire Department Spokesman Payton Rogers says the fire was contained to a back wall and is believed to be caused by electrical wiring. They were called by a neighbor who noticed smoke coming from the back of the house just after 5 pm.
RapidRx Pharmacy opening new location on North Drive
There will soon be another pharmacy on the west side of Hopkinsville, as RapidRx Pharmacy moves to open a location on North Drive. It will be called Hopkinsville Pharmacy and will be located at 495 North Drive, in the building that at one time was a BB&T Bank. The new location will provide much needed access to pharmacy service for that area of the city, especially since Cayce’s Pharmacy was closed.
