    MSP offering car seat safety inspections at 4 locations in western Mass

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The Massachusetts State Police will be offering four opportunities for child car seat inspections in western Massachusetts.

    Troopers will be available from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at each location to check for proper installation of car seats and discuss child safety while driving.

    NOBLE conference addresses mental health for officers

    The walk-in car seat check stations are scheduled as follows:

    • Tuesday, May 7, Springfield Barracks , 600 Liberty Street, Springfield
    • Tuesday, May 14, Greenfield RMV , 18 Miner Street, Greenfield
    • Tuesday, May 21, Cheshire Barracks , 1141 North State Road, Cheshire
    • Tuesday, May 28, Northampton Barracks , 555 North King Street, Northampton

    These are walk-in events, no preregistration is required. If residents are unable to attend any of the events, make an appointment for car seat installations or inspections by calling the MSP Traffic Programs Section at 774-462-3766.
