Power restored for over 900 costumers in Thomasville, according to Duke Energy
THOMASVILLE, N.C. — Over 900 customers in the Thomasville area have had their power restored, according to officials with Duke Energy. Crews said power was restored on Saturday around 2:30 p.m. after outages were first reported last night around 9:30 p.m. in the area of Blair and Maiden Park Drive, near Old Thomasville Road.

Lexington man arrested after home invasion
On Saturday, May 18 at 3:00 a.m. the Lexington Police Department responded to a reported burglary in progress at a residence located at 8 East 4th Street. Arriving officers quickly gained information from victims and witnesses at the scene that an unknown person had broken into the residence while they were asleep. Victims also stated that the suspect brandished a handgun and attempted to force sex acts upon an adult victim inside the house where juveniles were also present. Officers also learned that the suspect had left the area in a dark truck as they were arriving on scene.

Woman charged after 2-year-old daughter overdoses on fentanyl
A North Carolina woman was arrested last week after her 2-year-old daughter overdosed on fentanyl at their home, authorities said. >> Read more trending news According to a news release from the Thomasville Police Department, Brittany Parrish, 33, of Thomasville, was arrested on May 16 and charged with felonious child abuse.
