The $2 million-winning Powerball ticket sold in Cabarrus County went to a college student, and a malfunctioning gas pump is getting credit for his life changing prize, according to the North Carolina Education Lottery. Bram Dunehew of Concord had just filled up his gas tank at a Sam’s Mart on N.C. 49 in Harrisburg when the pump failed to generate his sales receipt, lottery officials said in a Nov. 4 news release.
