    1 hospitalized after shooting; Sioux City PD continue to investigate

    SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — The Sioux City Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place Wednesday night and left one person injured.

    Police were called to the area of 27th Street and Cheyenne Boulevard around 10:50 p.m. for a report of shots fired.

    Officers arrived to the scene and found a man with a gunshot wound on his lower leg. The victim was taken to a local hospital.

    Police were able to identify and locate the shooter who happened to live nearby. The police have released the identity the person, adding that no criminal charges have been filed at the time of publishing.
