Deputies shut down South Los Angeles streets after reported bank robbery
Deputies closed two major South Los Angeles streets Thursday afternoon to investigate a reported robbery at a local Wells Fargo branch.The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department closed Florence and Central Avenues as dozens of deputies combed through the area.Deputies received the call at about 5:15 p.m. The sheriff's department said the call originated from someone inside the bank who spotted someone outside walking with a mask on. The person never entered the bank, never made any demands and in no way tried to rob the branch. When deputies arrived at the location, they found an armed security guard, who worked for the bank, outside and detained him during the investigation. Deputies made it clear that the guard was not a suspect. Investigators never found the man in a mask. The sheriff's department detained several people while searching the parking lot but detailed everyone once they cleared the area. At this point, deputies said no crime was committed.

Burglar steals x-ray machine and tools from dentist office
Los Angeles County deputies need help tracking down the suspect who allegedly stole an X-ray machine from a dentist's office in Calabasas. The burglary happened last month on April 17 around 4:50 a.m. at Dentique Dental, according to the LA County Sheriff's Department. A security camera captured the suspect shattering a rear window to enter the office but didn't take anything initially. Deputies said the burglar returned later in the day at about 10:40 p.m. and disabled the surveillance cameras before rummaging through the office. The owner told deputies that the suspect stole numerous dental tools, an X-ray machine, a Microsoft tablet, and $2,400. Deputies urged anyone with information about the burglary to call Detective Lopez at (818) 878-1808. Authorities Seek Help Locating 33-Year-Old Man
Authorities sought the public’s assistance Tuesday in locating a 33-year-old man with an unspecified mental health disorder last seen near Union Station. Elliot Mathew Dixon was last seen Friday in the 400 block of Bauchet Street, near Cesar E. Chavez Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Deputies described Dixon as a 6-foot-3-inch tall Black man weighing 190 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
