Seattle Storm Rookie Nika Muhl Speaks Out About Lack of WNBA Playing Time

Seattle Storm rookie Nika Muhl became a superstar during her time at UConn; largely due to her defensive excellence against Caitlin Clark in the 2024 NCAA Tournament.

A few weeks later, Muhl was selected by the Storm with the 14th overall pick of the 2024 WNBA Draft.

And while Visa issues kept Muhl from playing in the Storm's first four WNBA regular season games, she was cleared to play in their fifth contest, against the Indiana Fever.

But she only played 3 minutes.

Muhl spoke with reporters after a Storm practice on Friday, and addressed the lack of WNBA playing time she has received.

"I don't want to put it in a way where I was like, 'Oh, I would come in the game right now and I would solve this for us'," she said.

"Has there been instances where I felt like I wanted to go out there and help? Absolutely," Muhl added. "But I'm still a rookie. And I'm still putting myself in a position of learning."

"It was more of that eagerness of wanting to go out there and help my team in any way, shape, or form," Muhl then said.

A team player, through and though.
