    Schenectady business hosts dog day, pet drive

    SCHENECTADY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 )– Arthur’s 1795 in Schenectady is hosting an all-day dog-friendly event on Sunday, May 19. Dog Day will feature several activities for pet owners and furry friends, from free pup cups to a donation drive.

    Prizes will go to the first, fifth, 10th, and 20th dogs that attend Dog Day. A pet drive benefitting the Schenectady Animal Protective Foundation and Operation At Ease will be accepting donations. Dog beds, leashes, bowls, toys, food, treats, and other items are accepted.

    The Animal Protective Foundation will have information and applications for adoptable dogs from 10 a.m. to noon. Owners can also get a portrait of their dog taken by a local artist and participate in a dog-kissing booth from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, visit the Arthur’s 1795 Facebook page.
