There’s More Than Meets the Pizza at Joshua Skenes’s New LA Restaurant Leopardo

Korean fried chicken purveyor Chimmelier is heading to the Bay Area from Los Angeles this weekend, slinging crisp chicken sandwiches with two pop-ups scheduled in Oakland for May 17 and 18. The Chimmelier team will first take over Oakland’s K-Street restaurant at 3905 Broadway on Friday, May 17, with two items from its menu: the loaded K-chicken burger and the honey butter wings. Chimmelier will then make its next appearance on Saturday, May 18, for Dokkaebier’s Chimaek Festival in Oakland, which pairs chicken and beer alongside entertainment and games.

One of LA’s Best Korean Fried Chicken Pop-Ups Is Coming to Oakland

Almanac Beer Co. will open a taproom inside West Oakland’s much-anticipated Prescott Market, a 12,000-square-foot food hall planned for 1620-1640 18th Street. The taproom will pour 20 beers on tap with 74 seats not including those on the outdoor patio. It’ll be the second Almanac outpost in the Bay Area, joining the existing taproom in Alameda at 651B West Tower Avenue. The West Oakland taproom is expected to open this summer.
