    Blotter for May 15

    In Salisbury Police Department reports:

    • Miscellaneous property damage occurred in the 600 block of Brenner Avenue between 7:30 p.m. on May 12 and 6:15 a.m. on May 13.
    • A larceny from a motor vehicle occurred in the 1000 block of South Church Street between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. on May 2. It was reported on May 13. The total estimated loss was $600.
    • Shoplifting occurred in the 300 block of South Arlington Street at 10:04 p.m. on May 13. The total estimated loss was $110.
    • Rahjan Wesley Crawford, 32, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor larceny and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia on May 13.
    • Otis Brandon Smith, 26, was charged misdemeanor child abuse, misdemeanor possessing an open container of alcohol in a passenger area, felony flee to elude arrest, misdemeanor reckless driving with wanton disregard, misdemeanor speeding more than 15 mph over the speed limit, misdemeanor driving while his license was revoked, misdemeanor failure to yield for an emergency vehicle and misdemeanor failure to maintain lane control on May 14.

    In Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports:

    • Shoplifting occurred at Liberty Road at 8:28 a.m. on May 12.
    • Possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting, delaying or obstructing an officer occurred at Cavin Lane  at 2 p.m. on May 12.
    • A burglary by unlawful entry occurred at Old Beatty Ford Road between 1 p.m. and 3:40 p.m. on May 12.
    • Shoplifting occurred at Tingle Drive between 4:02 p.m. and 5:03 p.m. on May 12.
    • Richard Kasey Webb, 35, was charged with larceny of a motor vehicle; resisting, obstructing or delaying an officer; and possession of drug paraphernalia on May 12.
