Major Tuesday Evening Accident at Voorhees and Gilbert Leaves 74-Year-Old in Critical Condition

On September 26, 2023 at approximately 6:30 pm, Danville Police (DP) Officers were on patrol in the area of Bowman Avenue and Fairchild Street when they observed a tan colored Ford Escape driven by a 22-year-old Danville man who officers knew had a revoked Illinois driver’s license. As the officers began to follow the vehicle, they observed it was driving erratically and struck the curb at the corner of Bowman Avenue and May Street.

Multiple arrests made in connection to shooting near Urbana's Booker T. Washington School
URBANA, Ill. (WICS) — The Urbana Police Department arrested multiple people in connection to a shooting by Booker T. Washington School in Urbana. On Sept. 14, Urbana officers responded to the area of the 1400 block of Eads St. in Urbana, for several reports of shots fired in the area. Police arrived and found that nobody had been shot, and as of this time, no property has been reported damaged from the multiple shots fired.

Arrests made in shooting near Booker T. school
URBANA, Ill. (WAND) — Multiple arrests have been made in relation to a shooting that occurred near Booker T. Washington around dismissal time on September 14. Around 10 rounds were fired by at least four shooters about 2:50 p.m. on the 14th, according to a release from Urbana Police. When officers arrived to the scene in the 1400 block of Eads St., they found that no one had been shot and no property had been damaged.
