Downtown Rutledge Holiday Market takes place Saturday

RUTLEDGE — The inaugural Downtown Rutledge Holiday Market will take place from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, in the charming setting of the Nance House, Friendship Park and the Corum House in Downtown Rutledge. Shoppers will find a number of vendors inside the large community room in the historic Nance House for an experience reminiscent of times gone by, when proprietors sold a variety of merchandise in that space between the 1840s and 1900. That sense of bygone times will continue in “Tommy Toes,” a charming new café/coffee house located in the front parlor/dining room areas of the Nance House. The café will hold a soft opening during the Holiday Market, offering a variety of coffees, confections and other items for purchase.
