Explore Elkin's Community Gathering planned for Thursday
This Thursday Explore Elkin will host its annual Community Gathering at The Liberty’s Coley Hall beginning with a social hour at 5 p.m. The Explore Elkin initiative first began several years ago with a multi-tiered mission to create networking opportunities for locals, tourism for travelers and potentially attract new residents to the town. Explore Elkin hosts multiple events throughout the year in Elkin including Food Truck Friday, Friday Night Live and many more. Thursday’s Community Gathering event will feature idea stations, a cash bar and live music from Luke Mears and Robert Holthouser. At 6 p.m. there will be a presentation of Explore Elkin’s progress and upcoming town projects and community updates.
