City of Rialto prioritizes resident support following contained fire at 380 N. Linden Ave.
Due to the current heat wave, there are limited shelter options within Rialto. To support residents and ensure safe lodging for impacted households, the City has provided vouchers to families to stay in a nearby hotel until new vacant units were secured. Further, the City leveraged its ongoing partnership with the American Red Cross to provide meals for the families. Funding for the temporary lodging was secured through City Council action in 2025, when they established a permanent emergency relief fund for these types of emergencies.

City of Rialto completes $3.1 million Sycamore Avenue sewer upgrade to support growth, system reliability
Driven by ongoing residential growth in North Rialto that pushed the previous sewer line near capacity, the project replaced portions of the existing 8-inch sewer main between Walnut St. and Heather St. with approximately 5,200 feet of a larger 15-inch trunk line. The expanded pipeline significantly increases capacity, improving the reliability of Rialto’s wastewater system and ensuring long-term sustainability.
