7 Brew opens for business in Monett
The 7 Brew coffee business has opened its doors in Monett. A ribbon-cutting was held by the Monett Area Chamber of Commerce on Oct. 20. Cheryl Caraway, Chamber executive director, stands at far right, next to Mayor Randy Burke. Representing the business at the ceremony were Chris Sebald, operator, at the right edge of the check, and Ethan Meyer, holding the scissors. The occasion also provided an opportunity for Sebald to present a check for $16,250 to Children’s Center of Southwest Missouri, which has a facility in Monett. Funds were raised as donations during 7 Brew’s opening weekend, Oct. 16-18, when free drinks were given and donations accepted, part of 7 Brews’ “Caffeine for a Cause.” Carrie Hartley, development manager for the Children’s Center, fifth from left in the front row, said the money will be used to continue providing services in the face of serious state and federal funding cuts. The Children’s Center offers a one-stop for interviewing child abuse victims and connecting families with restorative and mental health assistance. 7 Brew is located off Hwy. 60 in Monett, east of Plaza Drive.
