Paterson Alliance Announces 2024 Apprenticeship Program for High School Students
PATERSON, NJ - The Paterson Alliance has launched it 2024 Apprenticeship Program (PAAP), designed for rising juniors and seniors from Paterson high schools. The summer program aims to provide valuable employment opportunities while exposing students to various career paths within the public and nonprofit sectors. Each summer, 10 selected students participate in a seven-week paid apprenticeship that not only introduces them to different career options but also equips them with essential life skills. The program kicks off with a comprehensive orientation covering workplace behavior, job readiness, financial literacy, and college preparedness. THIELLS — If you are Albertus Magnus and you see second baseman Maddie Geary on third base, you can feel comfortable saying she's coming in to score. That was the situation in the bottom of the eighth inning as senior shortstop Allie Falesto stepped to the plate with a berth for the program's first ever NYSPHSAA Class B state final four on the line at North Rockland.
Group 4 sectional finals baseball preview: Big schools vie for championship glory
The first three rounds of the state tournament certainly produced their share of dramatic wins and standout individual performances. Up next: sectional championships. The finals for public schools are scheduled for Monday, June 3, and group semifinals on Wednesday, June 5, with the ultimate goal of reaching the state finals on Saturday, June 8 at Veterans Park in Mercer County. Every pitch, every at-bat takes on added significance as the field gets whittled down.
