Man Arrested For Brutal Brick Attack Of Woman Over Littering

Pompano Beach, FL - A South Florida man has been arrested on aggravated battery charges following a brutal brick attack on a woman for littering last summer.

Authorities in Broward County say 42-year-old Chaddie Maurice Harrison was arrested on a warrant Monday for the incident that occurred in a Pompano Beach parking lot on August 25th, 2023.

According to authorities, Harrison, an acquaintance of the victim, allegedly became enraged after witnessing her discard a soda can instead of using a trash can.

The report details a vicious assault where Harrison forced his way into the victim's Jeep, damaging the door, and struck her repeatedly in the face with a brick.

The victim sustained significant injuries, including lacerations and bruising to her forehead, eyes, nose, and cheeks, with potential for permanent scarring.

Following medical treatment at Broward Health Imperial Point, a warrant was issued for Harrison's arrest.

He was apprehended on Monday and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and burglary with assault or battery.

As of Tuesday morning, Harrison remains jailed at the Broward County Main Jail with bond yet to be set.
