5 Best Restaurants in McKinney, Texas You Need to Try Before Everyone Else Finds Them
McKinney, Texas — a city where the past lingers in red-brick facades and the future hums in every bustling square, where magnolias shade the porches and the laughter of children echoes down Main Street. Here, the architecture is a patchwork of Victorian charm and modern ambition, stitched together by the hands of dreamers, families, and old-timers who remember when the railroad first sang through town. McKinney is a place where the sun sets golden over farmers’ markets, where neighbors greet each other by name, and where every meal feels like a gathering of stories.

5 Best Restaurants in Denton, Texas You Need to Try Before Everyone Else Finds Them
Denton, Texas — a city where the courthouse clock keeps time for dreamers and drifters, where the red-brick square hums with music and memory, and where the air is alive with the scent of barbecue, coffee, and wildflowers. Here, students spill from the universities, artists paint their stories on alley walls, and families gather beneath the shade of pecan trees. It’s a place where the old and the new dance together — where porch swings creak beside indie record shops, and the laughter of children echoes through streets stitched with history and hope.

Know Your Pecan Pie and Where to Find the Good Ones
Pecan pie has been the official State Pie of Texas since 2013, when the Legislature passed a resolution saying no dish says “Texas” more sweetly. It took a while. The Texas Siftings humor paper was already calling pecan pie worthy of being a “real state pie” back in 1886, and the pecan has been the state tree since 1919.

Celina Star Cafe Owners Are Bringing A New Brunch Spot To Preston Road
A fter nearly a decade of serving breakfast and lunch at Celina Star Cafe , the family behind the longtime local diner is preparing something a little different. Brunch Factory, a new upscale breakfast and lunch concept, is planned for Celina West along Preston Road, near Costco. Unlike the familiar small-town atmosphere of Celina Star Cafe, the new restaurant will feature a more modern setting, alcoholic beverages and a menu that puts a fresh spin on traditional brunch favorites. For owner Toni Mehmedi and his family, the project is about more than opening another restaurant. It's an opportunity to grow alongside the community they've served for nearly 10 years. "Being in Celina 10 years, living in the growth, experiencing the growth, it's just something we would love to give Celina residents, from the ones that have been supporting Celina Star since day one to the new ones that are moving here following the growth," the owners told Local Profile . A New Take On Brunch While Celina Star Cafe will maintain its cozy, small-town diner identity, Brunch Factory is designed to offer a more elevated experience, with additional space, creative beverages and a different atmosphere. "Celina Star is always going
