Chester selected as next chief
Glynda Chester was approved to become the new police chief for Como-Pickton CISD. Trustees approved her employment at their April 15 board meeting,. Chester has been most recdently employed at the Hopkins County Sheriff ’s Office. Prior to that, she served as chief for Sulphur Springs ISD Police Department.
Miller Grove High School finishes second overall at District Academic UIL Meet
Miller Grove High School students brought home multiple individual and team trophies recently from the UIL District Academic Meet. Individuals and teams placed in a number of contests, held at the Miller Grove campus Tuesday, April 2. The Lincoln-Douglas debate competition was also held on campus on Friday, April 5.
