Malvern Woman Sentenced to 6 Months in Federal Prison for Bank Embezzlement Charge
(Council Bluffs) A Malvern woman was sentenced on April 25th to six months in federal prison for Embezzlement by a Bank Employee. According to public court documents and evidence presented at sentencing, Mackenzie Ann Meggison, 37, was employed as a mortgage loan officer at Malvern Bank and was also the treasurer for the Malvern Area Betterment Association (MABA) who maintained their accounts at Malvern Bank. Using her position at the bank, from July – October, 2020, Meggison conducted 57 unauthorized transactions on four separate MABA accounts totaling at least $66,175.42.

National Guard to Be Deployed to Tornado-Stricken Areas of Elkhorn, West Omaha
LINCOLN–(KFOR Apr. 30)–There will be a deployment of Nebraska National Guard Soldiers to areas of Elkhorn and west Omaha hit hard by last Friday’s tornado. Governor Jim Pillen on Tuesday ordered the deployment, after Douglas County officials have requested personnel from the National Guard who can assist in the deterrence of looting and with the management of heavy vehicle traffic.
Potential buyer eyeing former Spaghetti Works site
A new business could open in the former Spaghetti Works building on Court Avenue later this summer, the president of the Omaha, Neb.-based restaurant company said. Alleged Omaha pursuit suspect headed to trial
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A man accused in a pursuit through part of Omaha last month is headed to trial. Zionmarkevious Walton, 24, had a preliminary hearing in Douglas County Court Tuesday morning.
