State College-based hotelier Hospitality Asset Management Company is developing the 98-room Tru by Hilton hotel just off of Benner Pike, next to G.M. McCrossin Inc. and across from Bellefonte Lanes. Mediator used to help settle dispute between State College Borough, local sewer authority
CENTRE COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — A lawsuit between State College Borough and the University Area Joint Authority is continuing in Centre County court, under mediation. UAJA, the Centre region's main sewage treatment provider, first filed suit in 2022, claiming the borough owed more than $400,000 in late fees and service charges.
Penn State Agrees to Postpone Demolition of Kepler Barn Until Sept. 30
Penn State has granted a request to delay demolition of the Kepler barn in Ferguson Township until Sept. 30. On June 11, the Historic Barn and Farm Foundation of Pennsylvania wrote to the university requesting an extension to Sept. 30. Previously, Penn State had agreed to postpone demolition until June 30, but the foundation said it is making progress on efforts to come up with a preservation plan but needed more time.

After two years of planning and construction, Penn Highlands State College, located at 239 Colonnade Blvd., is tentatively slated to open to the public on Monday, June 17.
