Detour Planned for Rescheduled Road Work on Route 322 in Centre County
A daytime detour will be in place next week as PennDOT resumes maintenance work on the two-lane section of U.S. Route 322 between Potters Mills and Boalsburg. PennDOT Centre County Maintenance crews will implement the detour for westbound traffic from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, through Thursday, Oct. 12. Flaggers will direct traffic off Route 322 at Sand Mountain Road. Drivers will then take Route 144 to Route 45 and back to Route 322. Local traffic will be permitted access to their homes. The Bryce Jordan Center (BJC) in University Park, Pennsylvania is planning to implement a new food and beverage purchasing system. A new concession stand named Pick & Roll will utilize Amazon's Just Walk Out technology. This innovation allows customers to pay with credit/debit cards or mobile payment options and leave without standing in a queue.
