Kendrick Perkins Gets Creative To Slam 76ers Forward Tobias Harris After Loss

Even with Joel Embiid's 39 points and 13 rebounds, it was not enough for the Philadelphia 76ers to keep their season alive on Thursday.

The New York Knicks bested the 76ers by a score of 118-115, clinching the 4-2 series win. While New York got double figures from every one of their starters, the 76ers had two starters not record a single point. One of the two players to not get on the board despite playing 29 minutes was forward Tobias Harris.

He finished the game 0-of-2 from the field with three assists and four rebounds, a showing that led to ESPN's Kendrick Perkins blasting him on First Take on Friday.

Harris is headed to free agency this offseason, and when discussing if Philadelphia should bring him back, Perkins emphatically said no.

"Tobias Harris, let him walk. I mean, damn," Perkins said on ESPN First Take. "He asked them if they wanted something from Chick-fil-A before the game, the team told him yes and he came back with a bag full of napkins and straws. I mean he was just a no-show out there."

Back in 2019-20, the 76ers signed Harris to a 5-year $180 million contract in what is now viewed as one of the worst deals in recent memory. In the series against the Knicks, Harris averaged just 9 points with 7.2 rebounds and only had a positive +/- rating once.

His market will be quite interesting this summer, to say the least.
