Eagles couldn't help themselves and signed a Georgia Bulldog after the draft

The Philadelphia Eagles just couldn't help themselves.

The Birds ended up not drafting any Georgia Bulldogs this year to go with the five that they already have on their roster.

However, once the 2024 NFL Draft was over, the Eagles turned to the undrafted free agency market and immediately signed Georgia running back Kendall Milton.

The Eagles already have a bell cow in their backfield with Saquon Barkley and they also drafted Clemson running back Will Shipley in the fourth round, but there's still a chance Milton finds himself third in line if he competes well in training camp.

That also means Eagles' veteran back Kenneth Gainwell could be fighting to keep his backup job with Shipley and Milton now in town.

Milton, a two-time national champion at Georgia, appeared in 41 games and rushed 297 times for 1,839 yards with 23 touchdowns. He also hauled in 12 passes for 116 yards and a score.

He now joins an Eagles roster that consists of five other former national champions from Georgia including defensive tackle Jordan Davis, linebacker Nakobe Dean, defensive tackle Jalen Carter, cornerback Kelee Ringo, and linebacker Nolan Smith.
