U.S. Marshals have announced the arrest of a man for his role in a triple shooting that occurred in Harrisburg in September 2023.

47-year-old Shawn Jason was arrested at a hotel on 4600 Island Avenue after Marshals received information that Jason recently checked into a hotel room and was inside. He is being charged with criminal attempted homicide, armed robbery, and other related charges for his roles in multiple crimes from September 9, 2023, and February 22, 2024.

On September 9, 2023, Jason allegedly shot three people, including a four-year-old child after a verbal dispute with his neighbors on the 1800 block of North Street in Harrisburg.

Jason was also charged for his role in an armed robbery on February 22nd at the CVS on Jenkintown Road in Glenside, PA.

After a month of surveillance and investigations Marshals were able to arrest Jason inside the hotel in Philadelphia without incident.

He is currently being processed by the Abington Police Department.

“A long and extensive history of violent criminal activity by Mr. Jason has once again culminated in his arrest, but sadly not before counting a 4-year-old child he shot as among his most recent victims,” said Eric Gartner, United States Marshal for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
