Former Dubuque pastor arrested, accused of abuse 40-years ago
The Dubuque Police Department says it was contacted by the Archdiocese of Dubuque last year about reports of abuse that happened in the 1980s. Four separate people accused Leo Riley, an associate pastor at the time at Resurrection Parish in Dubuque, of sexual abuse. The victims were all grade school-aged altar boys at the parish.

Man arrested after fleeing Galena police, crashing vehicle
JO DAVIESS COUNTY, Ill. — A man has been arrested after fleeing from Galena police before crashing his vehicle while under the influence. On Monday, April 22 at 8:19 p.m., Galena police officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a car near South Main Street and Water Street. The vehicle fled from police and eventually began traveling west on U.S. Route 20. Police ended the pursuit in the area of Route 20 and U.S. Route 84 North due to safety concerns.

US Army Corps of Engineers to host 2 events to gather public input on habitat rehabilitation projects on Mississippi River
ROCK ISLAND, Ill. (KWQC) - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, in partnership with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, are planning two habitat rehabilitation and enhancement projects on the Mississippi River in Pools 12 and 13 and are looking for public input, according to a media release from officials. Opportunities for the public to learn more and provide feedback will be held on April 30 and May 1, in two locations to highlight the different projects.
