Local man continues recovery after motorcycle accident in Butler County Saturday
A 20-year-old man from Cowley County is continuing to recover after being seriously injured in a weekend motorcycle accident near Augusta. Kostner McClung, a Winfield native who currently lives in Ark City, was hospitalized in Wichita following the accident. He has since been released and faces a considerable road to full recovery, according to his father, Kevin McClung.

Juveniles arrested in Moundridge burglary
MOUNDRIDGE, Kan. — According to a release from Moundridge Police, they began an investigation on June 1 of a break in at a Moundridge residence. This occurred while the owner was gone on vacation. There was property damage from the forced entry, and items were taken from the home.
MCD to meet June 8
Marion County Democrats and Friends will meet at the Peabody Township Library at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 8 at 214 N. Walnut in Peabody. The guest will be Cassie Meyer, a recipient of one of the scholarships in 2020. Meyer graduated from Marion/Florence High School and recently graduated from Kansas State University. The public is invited to attend this open meeting.
