2 hospitalized after motorcycle struck rear wheel of semi trailer
MCPHERSON COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just before 12:30 p.m. Monday in McPherson County. The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2012 Kawasaki motorcycle driven by Ricky Collins, 64, Fullerton, Nebraska and a 2010 Yamaha motorcycle driven by Eric Whited, 40, Ord, Nebraska were southbound on Interstate 135 just north of the rest area at the New Gottland Township in the passing lane.

Juveniles arrested in Moundridge burglary
MOUNDRIDGE, Kan. — According to a release from Moundridge Police, they began an investigation on June 1 of a break in at a Moundridge residence. This occurred while the owner was gone on vacation. There was property damage from the forced entry, and items were taken from the home.

Cooks hired for Goessel schools
The Goessel school board met on May 20 and approved cooks for the 2024-2025 school year, following the retirement of long-time cooks Sandra Duerksen and Janice Voth. Susie Shipp has been a cook at the junior high/high school building. She will now be the Food Service Director and will work at the elementary school. Cassoday Griffin is a new cook and will also work at the elementary school. Jennifer Hagewood will continue as a cook at the junior high/high school building. Blake Ervin will join her there.
