Crash closes highway in Butler County
A portion of U.S. Highway 400 was closed for a couple of hours early Friday after a crash involving three semi tractor-trailers. The crash was reported around 2:30 a.m. on the highway near SE Munson Hill Road, near Leon. Three semis crashed into a herd of cattle on the highway.

Butler county dispatch confirms three semi trucks crashed into a herd of cattle on U.S. 400 near SE Munson Hill Rd. It happened around 2:30 a.m. Friday. Dispatchers say nobody was hurt. The highway was closed in both directions for almost two hours while crews responded to the crash.

SEDGWICK COUNTY—A Kansas man will go to prison for a fatal Kansas crash after he entered a plea deal in the case. On Friday, 27- year-old Dalton Jones of Wichita agreed to serve 12 months in jail with work release authorized, pay a $2,500 fine and pay restitution in the amount of $10,832.97, according to the Sedgwick County District attorney's office. In January, he pled guilty to one count of vehicular homicide.
